Can I go in straight off a run?
Yes. Nobody is checking. Common sense applies more than etiquette: outside seating if you are soaked, and put a layer on before you cool down and start shivering into your cup.
Can I buy beans as well as a coffee?
Yes, at the roasteries listed above. Buying a bag on the way out is the traditional way of justifying having driven to a café you could have run to.
Is coffee good or bad after running?
Fine, and arguably good. Caffeine does nothing to harm recovery, and the sitting down, the calories and the company probably do more for you than the coffee itself.
How do I turn this into an actual run?
Pick a café, work backwards. Most of the towns here have a parkrun or a riverside path within easy reach, which are listed above. Finish at the door and the cool-down takes care of itself.

Swindon has Coate Water's flat lakeside laps; Old Town runners can suffer up Prospect Hill first. Salisbury's Town Path across the water meadows gives you the Constable cathedral view mid-run, which almost makes up for the headwind. Marlborough sits on the Ridgeway — Britain's oldest road, and still not flat — with Savernake Forest's beech avenues next door.
