Full Court Press. The scene's front door: a roastery-café where the menu changes weekly, guest roasters rotate through, and the team will happily talk beans until your legs seize. Enter curious, leave educated.
The new guard
Swevern. Named among the UK's very best this year — the current jewel of a city that landed four shops on the national best-of list. Bristol's coffee density now rivals its hill density, which is genuinely saying something.

Clifton Coffee Roasters. The beans behind half the city's best flat whites — look for their name on menus across town, from the harbour to the Downs.
Pair it with the run
Bristol's miles come with elevation honesty: the Harbourside loop (flat, the city's one concession), Ashton Court's estate trails and famous parkrun, the Downs above the Avon Gorge with Brunel's bridge as a backdrop, and the Bristol-to-Bath railway path when you want miles without decisions. Every hill you climb is banked cake credit — this city runs on that economy.
The rules
